Principal's Update
Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, it is the second to last week of the year. This is my last newsletter for 2024. I hope you have found them informative. On Monday we will thank all of our support staff. We will also acknowledge Lorna’s time at Waitetuna School. She has been supporting students, and staff for 20 years now. Thanks Lorna and all of our amazing support staff.
Stationery for 2025—Reminder— We have been fortunate to be given some stationery items from a few sources for 2025. This means that your child’s school books will be supplied at the beginning of the year. We do ask that you make one purchase and that is a set of headphones. Lorna has emailed some examples of the headphones we require. We have asked families of year 3 and up if they can provide a chromebook, if you are in a position to do so. The board is committed to supplying some chromebooks so everyone will have access to a chromebook if you are unable to do so.
A Heartfelt Thank You
As we wrap up another fantastic year, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to everyone in our school community.
Thank you to our amazing students for their enthusiasm, effort, and positivity in everything they do. I want to thank our teachers as their dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for the energy and care you bring every day. And to our families and wider community, your continued support means makes everything we do possible. The opportunities we work hard to provide cannot happen without you, so thank you whaanau!
It’s your combined efforts that make our school a special place to learn, grow, and thrive. Here's to many more successes ahead! I look forward to seeing you all at our final assembly next Wednesday evening. Please note the event will begin at 6pm.
See you at final assembly on Wednesday.
Have a wonderful holiday and see you in 2025. Ngaa mihi Amanda and staff
